The Fashion Awards 2019
The Fashion Awards took place at the Royal Albert Hall on 2 December 2019. Tracee Ellis Ross was a riot as the host. She quipped “The Royal Albert Hall has a lot of history. My history. My mother performed here a few times”. Tracee, a true fashion lover known for her predilection for bold colour and big designs, was resplendent in outfits by Richard Quinn, Gucci and Erdem.
Fashion Icon Award
Naomi Campbell was honoured as a fashion icon for her contribution to fashion spanning 30 years as well as for her philanthropist work.
Urban Luxe Award
Janet Jackson alongside Tyler the Creator presented Rihanna with the Urban Luxe award for her brand Fenty.
Outstanding Achievement Award
Giorgio Armani was honoured with the Outstanding Achievemwnt Award for his outstanding contribution to the global fashion industry. The audience was treated to a spectacular show of Mr Armani’s creations. Eric Clapton, a good friend of Mr Armani, closed the Outstanding Achievemwnt Award by singing his famous song Tears in Heaven.
Daniel Lee of Bottega Venetta was the biggest winner on the night taking home 4 awards for Accessories Designer of the Year, British Designer of the Year – Womenswear, Designer of the Year and Brand of the Year (Bottega Venetta).

The Trailblazer Award
Naomi Campbell presented Sarah Burton OBE, Creative Director of Alexander McQueen, with the Trailblazer Award for championing UK wide craftsmanship. Readers will be aware she designed the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress.
Other celebrities in attendance included Dame Anna Wintour, Donatella Versace, Kylie Minogue, Edward Enninful Miguel, Rita Ora, Halima Aden and Poppy Delavine.
