Pretty in Prêt a Fab
As fashion month draws to a close with Paris Fashion Week, most people will have thoughts of chic French designers on their mind. My thoughts are firmly on a vibrant England based fashion label called Prêt a Fab.
Prêt a Fab creates beautiful bespoke designs to flatter every woman’s figure. At a time when the fashion world is embracing different body types, Prêt a Fab has been one step ahead since inception by draping all women in its flattering designs. The Prêt a Fab woman is confident, wants to stand out, loves bold colours, appreciates expert design and celebrates her femininity.
I had the distinct pleasure of wearing a pretty, pink Prêt a Fab dress to AFI Cape Town Fashion Week. There is a high degree of confidence that comes with wearing a unique design and I certainly felt it when I wore the dress. It is simply a masterpiece. A true work of art. The very first person to notice and compliment my dress was the driver who collected me from my hotel to the Cape Town Fashion Week venue. His exact words were “wow. That is a beautiful and unique dress. Is it designer?” To say I was walking on cloud nine would be an understatement. To top it all off I took a picture with the founder of Cape Town Fashion Week, Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe, who was also wearing a pink ensemble by a notable South African designer.

I was excited to be at Cape Town Fashion Week wearing a proudly South African designer’s dress. Enid Peat, Prêt a Fab talented owner, hails from Durban, South Africa.

A great feature about Prêt a Fab is that one can select their own material and colour palette to get a truly bespoke design. The pink dress I wore was very much intended- pink has been my favourite hue for the longest time.
